Let’s get to it. NO, Thesis Theme isn’t for everybody. If you’re only interested in blogging or growing your business without having to worry about the design details than you’re expecting me to say… go elsewhere.

Wrong again, even if you need help which we all need a helping hand somewhere in the process. Thesis Theme stands about the rest, because it offers the opportunity to learn and apply small bits of CSS without the added headache. More on this later.

Thesis provides a clean, slick, unique and professional looking blog. The following blogs also use Thesis: HowtoMakeMyBlog, Copyblogger, ChrisBrogan and Twitip. These sites, thanks to Thesis, are dripping with authority, uniqueness and professionalism.  Thesis theme can give you this and more. I can feel your excitement.

Please don’t misunderstand me, Thesis isn’t the best thing since sliced bread and it won’t remove all the work that might be required to achieve a particular unique style. Listen up, the potential is there, and so is the support but it’s also about saving time. Life is demanding, no one wants to be distracted with the technical aspects; especially when you want to get on with writing, work, school and making ends meet.

If you get stuck, which will happen, the forums are filled with Thesis ninjas, they can handle anything you throw at them.

For me, having control of  every aspect of my site is important because, eventually, my site should reflect my tastes. Another sweet thing about Thesis, when those desires and tastes change overnight, which we all know how quickly a change of heart can occur. No worries, Thesis allows you to quickly change the layout order, content box and sidebar sizes, including fonts without touching any code (CSS).

You know that’s hot. A huge time saver, period. For most, time is viewed as money. You don’t want to get hung up with technical issues.

Why I Went With Thesis

  • In you haven’t noticed by now, Thesis Theme is a time saver.
  • Changing your font style, layouts and padding (space between various objects which makeup your site) is quickly and effortlessly done without changing Wordpress code.  Functionality at its best.
  • Upgrading is a breeze, not to mention- FREE! (lifetime upgrades!)
  • If you choose to add other significant changes and designs, there’s only two primary files to operate in. Other themes require that you change tons of files, which is a waste of time and a lot of effort.
  • Nothing beats the fuzzy warm feelings of accomplishment after you learnt from putting your own hand to the plow.
  • You learn best by getting your hands dirty after reading the Thesis manual. Oh yeah, there’s a Thesis Manual, among other neat resources like Answers (A place for thorough answers to common thesis questions).
  • My favorite part of Thesis is the multimedia box. I can rotate featured post, insert videos and so on.
  • Thesis Theme is flexible like clay, use it to create any design of course without all the heavy lifting.
  • It goes a long way with readers and visitors, your site will certainly stick out in their minds. Thesis helps your site to quickly make an impression on potential readers and marketers.

  • Professional Styling
  • Drop Caps

Easily call attention to a special note or announcement. For example, grab your copy of Thesis Theme

Both the Thesis Options and Design Options panels push Thesis’ appeal through the roof. This is the kind of easy lifting we all need. So, no time to learn, that’s okay.
With Thesis, your potential is whatever you want it to be, you’ll want a learn more (learn at pace that’s good for you). All in all, it’s a win win situation.
Thesis will leave your blog with a more professional look, and professionalism screams authortiy and trust ( along with your advice/service/overall content, of course ).

That’s a nice review of the theme, including the truth that it isn’t as simple as they promote it to be, unless you like the way it is out of the box with the standard widgets. But once you do get the hook system down, and find good resources, it is a great theme that takes a lot of the daily fight of designing and redesigning your theme out of the way to focus on content.

Kristi,

Thanks! Yeah, you’re telling the truth. Without solid resources and support, anyone is gonna have issues. I’ve learned tons by diving in, asking questions and self learning. :) Thanks for visiting, I see you recently did a write up Thesis, nice.

Best,

Gee, you too Mig? :P Is Thesis that powerful?

Maybe it’s just because I haven’t tried it yet, but I feel that it’s a bit overhyped. I guess I’ll have to check it out and find out by myself :P

Hi,

I was always using another premium theme, but recently got fed up with the lack of support so I went and bought Thesis. I am happy to say that it is the best move ever, the ease of making changes and with all the community help. There are so many changes you can make with just a few pieces of code.

Hi George,

That’s right man, Thesis’ support community is on top of it! Great support, given its flexibility and professional look, worth every cent as far as I’m concerned. :) Thanks for visiting, WELCOME TO SIMPLY BLOG! Cheers!

I’m all new to Thesis Theme either, maybe because I haven’t ventured myself into the self-hosting area yet. But it’ll be a must sooner or later. Great to have another option when it comes to blog themes. It looks convenient, and if it’s a time-saver like you’ve said, Mig, then you got my attention. ^^

The only way to find out is to try it. Have bookmarked this for future reference.

Ching Ya,

Thanks for the comments. Yes, bookmarking is an excellent way to retrace our steps when called for. :) I appreciate your support here at the site, as well as with my studies. Your words are always supportive and uplifting.

If you ever have any questions about Thesis, ask, and if I don’t know I’ll point to someone that does. Cheers!

Best,

I switched for Thesis just the other day and still haven’t really got the time to create a unique theme but with Thesis, it looks great out of box.

Just a quick question. How did you manage to get this “article by” field with short info about you? I can’t find it in Thesis.

Looks simple. I have once suggestion for you.

Kindly decrease the width of your page. It is so big even in 1024×728 pixel resolution.
