The Extra Mile
How can you go the extra mile in your business or blogging? Seriously, what could we do different today? To get that new desired outcome or results not seen before?
Blog commenting. Is nature of the beast about the number of great comments you can leave on other sites?
Research. Investing more time could be the answer for some. But when do you draw the line and get to action?
Finding your voice. This takes time, not to mention all the learning that must happen first. After getting a handle of the field (your niche), then you begin to discover your voice/opinion.
Networking. What does it cost to make the right connections? How much time, effort and perhaps money? Sometimes, connecting with a high profile personality in your niche is about a service or product you bring to the table.
Content creation. I know, if we can consistently produce quality content, we’re sure to always win at the end of the day. Wait a minute… there’s plenty of quality out there that goes unnoticed.
Mastering this area doesn’t make all our challenges online go away.
Going the Extra Mile
What’s really important to you? Not sure? What consumes most of your time? Learn to say NO!
You know, there’s a deep knowing, when you produce something of quality. As a student, I know, when I’ve written a strong paper and I know where the weak points are.
The difference- at times- between B or A papers is the amount of sources used, time spent, and how one engages the right “authorities” in that particular arena.
Did you catch that? Your work may be only as valuable as the sources you interact with. As an avid reader of scholarly Biblical/Theological material, one of the first things I do with a new book or article is to see who else the author has engaged in his writings.
Ones failure to dialogue with the proper authorities, in many ways, make that work irrelevant and outdated. So, going the extra mile is knowing what the current conversations are in your niche.
Is it worth it? That’s for you to decide. But going the extra mile is likely harder than all the others.
Follow Your Own Path
There will be times when effective and meaningful learning comes from trial and error. This usually comes when you step out into the wild on your own. We’re not always going to have something there to guide us. To hold our hands, step by step.
Attempt something few would. Someone’s 31 day program may be helpful, but how can we build upon that and venture out into new directions?
Remember, in this life, what works for you won’t always work for the next person. This goes for various aspects of life: business, exercise, self help, blogging and so on. Discover a specific way that works for you! Don’t know one, create it!

I just love the title — take your own path! The sentence said it all and applicable to many things in life. The tips are relevant and useful, but some will always find one or two that didn’t work out for them. There’s no exact way of how one thing is done in life, but there will always be guidance. In the end, we are the one who need to decide how we will make it work.
I guess nobody is advising you to try Twitter in landing your new job, right? You did it and it’s a living proof.

Ching Ya,
You’re right on. For some time, I read about folks using Twitter but I simply used the resources within reach, this time around, it was Twitter. The story is pretty crazy, I enjoy telling people to see the shock and amazement on their faces.
Thanks for visiting!

Nice article, I like submitting my article in onlywire auto submission, in article directory, and in social media.
Btw, how to change sidebars background color like your blog?
Thanks Miguel, cheers
Ardiawan,
Thanks!
Yes, social media sure can carry your content to the far corners of the earth. On the sidebar colors, I’ll get back to ya on it. I think Thesis answers page should show you how, plus some.
Cheers!
