4 Unselfish Things We Could Do Today

While reading various posts within the blogosphere, inspiration hit and I knew it was time to start recording ideas floating around in my head. Listen up, it’s okay to share about what others said (reporting) but don’t forget to add your thoughts and unique perspective into the discussion.

4 Unselfish Things We Could Do Today [Plus 1 Selfish Thing]

  • Help Others Make Their Contribute [Leo covers this thoroughly]
  • Meet a need. Someone contacted me by email (Several times) requesting help with scholarship essay writing. This person wanted their work to be reviewed. There’s always tons to do: school, projects, work, blog writing and so on. When was the last time you put yourself aside to help others with asking for anything in return? I’m not advocating that you work for free but you get the idea.
  • Promote quality work. Learn to value other perspectives and quality work whenever you find it. Don’t steal someone’s idea, creative plan, advice and so on, without attributing credit to its original source. Share their blog post/article with your network of friends and partners.
  • Recruit a blogging buddy. Take a newbie blogger under your wing. Share tips, insight and resources with them. This is one aspect of what makes the blogosphere a special community- giving and empowering.
  • [The selfish part] Focus on Improving. Read what Ricardo from Ribeezie had to say

Miguel, I think I know what should I do now. ^^ For instance, I’ll be sharing this ‘kindness post’ with at least 300+ people. Yup, you get the idea! See you in twitter.

Salwa,

I appreciate your support and feedback. :) Yeah, working closer with someone as mentor is demanding. But it’s worth it. Thanks for visiting.

Always nice to think of others. As advice to you (help you out :) ) move your email subscription towards the top. It must be visible without scrolling. I trippled my subscriber base over night by that simple move. Make it easy for people to subscribe.

Hey Peter,

Thanks! Yeah, I was changing a few things on the site and forget to put that back in its proper place. I didn’t even notice. Thanks for the heads up. :) Welcome and thanks for the follow on Twitter. I appreciate the visit and comment. Cheers!
